YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN

Went to Grapeland today to mom and dad's farm. It is officially a farm now because my dad bought a tractor. A big honkin' deal. I took it for a spin around and it's nice. Got there around 11:30, ate lunch, and then went to inspect the T-Rackter. After a while of working on the barn (yes it has a barn too) we were going to ride the 3-wheeler around with the girls. Up until this point the girls (Shelly mainly) were picking backberries (which is the actual reason we went in the first place). Shelly loves Blackberries.

Well we could not find the key the the 3-wheeler so we finally decided a rat must have carried it off because of where dad had placed the key. After a 30 minute unsuccesful hotwiring operation we gave up and decided to pull the trailer around with (you guessed it) the new tractor!

Ashlin and Claire rode with me in back while dad pulled us. Shelly picked more Blackberries.

After we left the farm we drove to Richland Chambers lake (where Shelly's mom and dad just so happened to be camping... it was on the way home). So we spent a couple of hours with them and ate an early dinner. Left and drove home. Stopped by Luby's for a quick vegetable plate-to-go for Shelly and then to Albertson's were I proceeded to purchase Shelly some Mother's Day flowers (I used to be able to surprise her with them... not anymore).

Got home, bathed the girls, put them in bed. Shell fell out around 9:52 and here I sit. Getting ready for Momma's Day tomorrow!

I realized a few things today!
1) Ashlin is scared of every single moving creature (no matter the size).
2) I drive too fast.
3) Shelly is to Blackberries what a junkie is to dope.
