Ok, Charles Standley is divorced right? Nothing new I know. In 2000, he and his wife of 44 years divorced claiming their marriage was "irretrievably broken". Yet he remains the Pastor of a mega church in Atlanta and over InTouch Minisries which takes in a reported 80 million a year.
In 1995, they almost were divorced and Standley was quoted as saying, "If my wife divorces me, I would resign immediately." Obviously, he did not. In fact the church gave him a standing ovation when he said that he would stay (as long as he never remarries). This leads me to my question...
Is he disqualified from church leadership having been divorced?

Lance, you are assuming I want to give a rebuttal.
Lots of gray area...
It seems we have initially 3 issues at hand.
1) Divorce in general!
2) Does divorce disqualify one from leadership in the church? (Many say yes, and many say no, and it usually depends on how they interpret the same verses of Scripture).
3) Why does Charles Stanley look so much like John Greene?
I am somewhat capable of speaking to issue #1. I do not claim to be able to speak to issue #2.
