Monday - New Years Day... went to the movies with the family the see Charlotte's Web. The WHOLE family. All five of us. Why do they charge 2 year-olds for movie tickets? They don't even watch the movie. Which means neither do you. You spend all of your time in the hallway saying, "ok, we're going back in there and you better be quiet or you'll (get a spanking, no popcorn, your eye plucked out, and whatever else is needed to say). Claire after ever preview at the beginning would holler out, "Its Over!"

Tuesday - Church office was closed but I went in anyway. Mainly because I have no time to do anything these days. That new kid is as time consuming as breathing. Ah don't get me wrong I still like him. I'm not going to sell him to the travelling carnival just yet. I had to begin research on two sermons for this weekend. Skip is out and I get to preach all three services Sunday. Sweet! Except I didn't get much studying done.

Wednesday - Office, bought a $62 battery for my car just to learn that I also needed a $13 fuse to make it run. Its been in the garage since before Christmas. Walking to work has it advantages.

Thursday - Painted the Panels and frames for the Youth Room. We are going to put b&w photos of the students and various stuff on them. It's going to look sweet! Worked on sermons more.

Friday - (Lord willing, cause it ain't here yet) Going hang the panels and study some more for Sunday.

Saturday - Birthday Party in the AM, catch about 10 minutes of a football game, family time, study time, sleep time.

Sunday - Preach 3 services at church, 2 in the AM and 1 in the PM. Come home and crash!

Hope things went well Sunday. I understand the crash. When we were at Melrose, I couldn't figure out why I could take a long Sun afternoon nap and still go right to sleep at night. It is the total physical, emotional, and spiritual depletion from preaching. Glad you had the opportunity. Gives you some good empathy for the pastor.
