I skied about three days worth of skiing today. We did about 30 trails total, hit four mountains, rode about 25 ski lifts, and I'm still walking upright.
Today was one of those days where you say to yourself, "man, I can actually ski". We started the day on a fast green (because Sean just learned yesterday for the first time). However he is really good beginner so it did not take long before we elevated to blues and blue/blacks. We did a few blue/blacks with moguls and I quickly realized that those things are evil... pure evil.
We went to the very top part of WinterPark called Parsen's Bowl (named bcause you basically ski down into a big bowl). It was amazing and the view was out of this world. I took some photos that I'll post later when I get my camera cable.
After lunch we took a detour into the Rail Yard Terrain Park (this is basically the place you see on the Winter X-Games and such. Complete with rails, jumps, half pipe, etc. ). I took a huge stupid chance (sorry Shelly) and decided to jump a ramp without seeing what was on the other side. As it turned out there was nothing on the other side except a long, long drop. I made it though! Then I rode the rainbow rail perfectly up until the time I hit the ground. After that things got ugly.
Anyway, we're headed back tomorrow for more action... this time we are taking a video camera! Maybe I'll post a Ski Confessional huh Todd?
