Happy Father's Day out there to all of you Big Poppas.
While I know my dad will never see this post (to him a blog is something that either needs fixing or taken out by a doctor). Even so, I feel the need to honor him here.
Thanks Dad for:
- Letting me dig 1 million holes in the backyard.
- Loving mom even when the men around you were bailing on their wives.
- Teaching me how to fix stuff.
- Taking me hunting.
- Laughing at my jokes.
- Teaching me how to play sports well.
- Showing me how to stand up for what is right.
- Making me always feel safe growing up.
- Letting me help you build stuff in the garage.
- Teaching me the value of a dollar.
- Teaching me how to respect others.
- Saving my life when I ran the lawn mower through the fence.
- Teaching me how to swim.
- Getting in the water with me when I was learning how to ski.
- Working hard to provide more than we needed.
- Always believing in me and supporting my decisions.
- Challenging me to always do my best regardless of the results.
- Marrying mom.
- Teaching me how to play the guitar.
- How to perform all of those "Police holds".
- Wrestling with Kevin & I.
- Not killing me that morning I fell on you in the dark and you thought I was a burglar.
- Peanut/Banana Sandwiches & Homemade Vanilla ice cream.
- Loving, playing with, and teaching my own kids.
- Showing me that no matter how old I get, there are still things I can learn from you.
Happy Father's Day!
Love, Robert

I think I might cry.
Hey I would love to hear your thoughts on a new blog I just posted. I'm not sure on some things...but it would be interesting to hear what an educated mind like yourself adds. Hope summer is going great so far!
