YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN

Last night was great. The band was out cause of sickness, vacations, and various oddities. But we subsidized with a classic game of "Human Knot". The first go-round both teams were unable to 'untie' themselves from the mess. It was fun and people got to know others in a way they probably were not ready to! The second go around however people either cheated or figured out the solution. Game #2 was "Who can build the tallest, free-standing, unit using only 50 straws and a length of masking tape." The winner topped in at about 5 feet (very impressive).

The lesson was on "What does it mean to be the Temple of God." In my own experience (and I dare say most of theirs as well) that phrase is nothing more than a threat from a pastor who is trying to keep people from getting a tatoo, drinking beer, or having sex! We looked at the history of the Temple and what it means to us to know we are now the Temple of the living God.

We had 5 visitors also! Wahoo. Next week we will discuss our Appearances: After all... "Modest is Hotest"... right?
