I have to say the online version of the ESV study Bible is very cool. Some of the features include: adding personal notes, text hi-lights, simple access to commentaries and articles pertaining to the text, etc.
Sure there are a few things that would make it much better. Like being able to send your personal commentary notes to a downloaded file for saving, sharing, etc. and also your own personal genie that pops out of your computer and translates the Greek and Hebrew for you while keeping your coffee hot. But for the most part it is a great tool. (I mean we all can't be LifeChurch right?)
The only drawback (which is really a blessing) is that you need to buy an actual ESV study Bible first. Then you get a code that allows you to access the online material. (Don't get angry, just Crossway's 'way' of protecting their investments).
So go ask Santa for one and happy studying.
Oh and this guy (wrote the articles on "Government," "War," "Racial Discrimination," "Stewardship," and "Biblical Ethics in the ESV study Bible) and I hope I know enough to pass his final on Monday afternoon.

I pre-ordered my ESV Study Bible back in March. I like it.
