For me, Rich Mullins was my first experience where image and lyric collided. I had never heard such music that expressed both the feelings within me and a heartfelt emotion and love for the creations of God. Not all of his songs were deep and contemplative but for me when I wanted to grow closer to God one of the places I would turn would be Rich's songs. He always seemed to be a step ahead and a thought beyond where I was at (and even today, he continues to be).
God, thank you for your servant Rich!

Totally digging this "musical influences" series!
Love it!
Steve Taylor produced that video and said that the basic idea was "to shoot the color green in black and white."
