We start our youth small groups tomorrow night. The original plan is for everyone to meet at my house. But if all that signed up actually show up then we're going to have to meet outside.
Today was the Sanger Sellabration. Yeah I know they spell it kooky. But what are you going to do? Actually it is called the Sanger Heritage Sellabration. Which is funny because there is no celebration of Sanger's heritage going on (unless you count the mock street fight), just a bunch of booths and bounce houses. We ate brisket at the Fire Department... yummy.
Anyway the youth praise band played in front of the whole town today. They did super. They were not even as nervous as I would have been. They played 4 songs because the sound guy robbed them of their time trying to sound check.
- Happy Day
- Everyday
- Take Me Higher
- Freedom Song
We brought our large JBL speakers and let the sound guys use them (all they had were some 76 model Yahamas). I went to pick them up around 9pm and the closing band was still rocking the Doobie Brothers. Sanger Sellabration gets a little wild around this time. The cops come out and the Christians go home!
The church set up a booth today and passed out cold bottles of water along with brochures about the church. Last I heard we had given out about 1,000 bottles of water. We were heroes cause it was hot!
Good things happening up here in Sanger.

Yay, Youth Band!

OK, it's a little awkward for Kaity to be talking about how hot her man is on a blog. In fact, I think I may have thrown up a little.
Did Kaity mention how she was shaking her bo-honckus in the middle of the street while her "man" was trying to lead?
Yeah, that sounds like Kaity. Man, you'll let anybody lead a small group at your church.
OKAY!!!!! i was talking about the temperature... not my man... and i wasnt shaking my bo-honckus... i was rocking out! yall need to shut it...
