CHURCH OF CHRIST
Step 6 in the Church of Christ Plan of Salvation: Be Faithful Unto Death
The Explanation: Once you are saved, God adds you to his church and writes your name in the Book of Life. (Acts 2:47; Philippians 4:3) To continue in God’s grace, you must continue to serve God faithfully until death. Unless they remain faithful, those who are in God’s grace will fall from grace, and those whose names are in the Book of Life will have their names blotted out of that book. (Revelation 2:10; Revelation 3:5; Galatians 5:4)
Oh dear, where to begin? First of all if I wanted to make sure my pews were packed every Sunday and that I always had a pool of dedicated servers I'd make my people afraid that any wrong move and they'd lose their salvation and go straight to Hell (by way of a miserable life and excommunication). Thus ensuring a packed congregation whose motivation was not adoration and worship of God but rather fear, oppression, and slavery. Come to think of it that is a normal pattern among several groups.
The question is NOT what does Robert think about Step 6 (although he would be glad to share) but rather is it wrong for Robert to expose doctrinal beliefs like this? After all the Church of Christ denomination is against this and for this so they must be doing good stuff for Jesus right? Regardless of this.
