(LIST)

|

This is not the 25 Random things about me list that swept across the Facebook community last month. No, this list is compiled live... I have not even thought of what I am going to say until right now. Let's see if any patterns show up.

  • I'm at Panera Bread reading for Old Testament.
  • Sometimes I like reading ABOUT books of the Bible more then I like reading the books of the Bible (horrible I know, thank God for sanctification).
  • I felt like I did a good thing yesterday by driving up to Oklahoma and helping out with the tornado victims. We did not get to talk with any but we did organize the donation drop off at the First Baptist church there in Lone Grove. Pray for Dewayne (the pastor) he could use it.
  • I have a new dog that is slowly killing my child. The child gets my vote.
  • I'm praying for my mom, she's sick and no one seems to be able to help her.
  • I'm praying for my dad, he's ticked off that no one seems to be able to help my mom.
  • I'm praying for my sister-in-law's family... they lost a child and it was not expected at all.
  • I'm praying for one of my students because her mother is marrying another woman (well, not in Texas she's not, but you get the idea).
  • I'm praying for my youth group because they need to seek a God-sized God in order to do God-sized things.
  • I'm praying for my church because it is filled with broken, hurting, and neglected souls (which is both an exciting and extremely frustrating thing).
  • The other day I thought I had finally figured out Youth Ministry... I was wrong.
  • I love a good symphony orchestra.
  • I hope my wife gets me James Taylor tickets for graduation.
  • I'm graduating from seminary in May (Lord willing).
  • My time in seminary has been amazing and saddening all at the same time.
  • It used to be that I'd look back on my life and realize that I had grown since the previous year. These days it seems like I'm doing the same thing over a span of weeks. Not sure what that means. Either God is sanctifying me at a quicker pace or I am about to die soon. Either way, I'm cool.
  • I really miss some good friends. (They know who they are).
  • Shelly and I went on a date the other night and it was amazing. Time alone, conversation, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, chocolate, music, lights, holding hands, a "secluded" table at Barnes & Noble, fajitas, and sharing life like man and wife should on a regular basis.
  • This girl made that date (and all of them possible). She has been a blessing to our family and we love her.
  • I recently downloaded "The 50 Most Essential Pieces of Classical Music" from iTunes and am loving it.
  • I still think the soundtrack to Braveheart is the best musical score ever.
  • I still have reading to do.
  • I am meeting with a guy this afternoon to disciple him.
  • I am also being mentored by this guy.
  • I found I can adequately balance 24 different tasks and responsibilites at the same time. At least adequately in my mind... but probably not in others'.
  • I will dissapear, vanish, fall of the face of the earth, go incognito, go undercover, recede sometime this summer. That's right you won't be able to find me. I could be right next to you and you wouldn't know it. In case you are looking for me: go to the end of civiliation and hang a right.
  • The purpose for said disspearance is 97 hours worth and 4 years of built up tension and stress brought on by this place. "Was it worth it?" you ask... Yes, yes it was.
  • Just realized I have more reading to do after I finish the other reading. Crud.
