Good Friday (Audio)

The Story: I wanted to express to my students this week the story of the cross. What happened, the horror of it, the passion of it, etc. So I did some research about the medical aspects of it (why it was so bad). I came across a medical account of a crucifixion and was going to use it as an illustration. However, I thought it needed some narrative behind it. So I took the 7 last sayings of Jesus and wrote sort of a first-hand account around this medical description of the crucifixion. I was simply going to read it but thought I would break down during it so I recorded it and set it on an ambient music bed. I am by no means a thespian but I attempted to read the part with some drama and passion. We played it Wednesday night for the students and it was very well received. I floundered as to if I should share it with all of you but in the end figured what the heck...

Everything that sounds "medical" I did not write... but the rest of it is in my mind how it all went down. BTW... it's like 21 minutes long!
