Anyone out there?

|

Anyone still check this thing? I'm considering writing a lot more (for myself really) but seeing how this is something on the web that anyone can access (even you... guy in Bangladesh) I thought I would ask.

What makes for better communication? Comedy, Satire, Theology, Heresy, Parenting?

What should I write about?

I've loved your recent stuff...especially the blogs about obedience.

I left the world of facebook a while back after doing a 40 day spiritual fast. I knew it occupied entirely too much of my life. For a while though, I struggled with missing the few facebook walls I frequented. Friends and family would occasionally ask if they could use my computer to check their facebook. With a guilty conscience I must admit that while they were logged in, I would ask to check in on a few people I had been missing. One wall would lead to another; one comment from person A would lead me to the wall of person B. I think the term for this is "facebook stalking." ;)

All of that to say that you were recently Person B. I always enjoyed your humorous facebook bantor; the lovely relationship you and Shelly have been willing to share publicly; and of course your spiritual journey as pastor and as a family. I saw a link to your blog and I've been reading it recently when I stumble upon chunks of free time.

With ALL of that said, I hope you (and your lovely bride) will continue to share the in's and out's of life in the Conn household. Your writings have (on numerous occasions) been a source of encouragement to me. I read the difficulties you and Shelly had starting a family. While I am 10 years into my marriage and we are still struggling to make sense of God's plan for our life without children, your journey has helped to remind me that it is and will always be His perfect plan.

I hope you will keep doing what you do; we are out here...enjoying every bit of it.

God bless you and your family; give my very best to Shelly.
